2026 World Cup - The worst Brazilian national football team in history
The worst Brazilian national football team in recent times. A humiliating defeat is inevitable.
The list includes seven new faces; the called-up athletes will participate in friendly matches during the last FIFA international break before the World Cup.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti made his final squad selection on Monday before the 2026 World Cup. Featuring seven new faces, the selected players will compete in friendlies against France and Croatia on the 26th and 31st.
The new additions are: Ibañez (Al-Ahli), Léo Pereira (Flamengo), Danilo (Botafogo), Gabriel Sara (Galatasaray-TUR), Endrick (Lyon), Igor Thiago (Brentford) and Rayan (Bournemouth). Danilo, Bremer Ibañez and Endrick had already been called up previously, but were summoned for the first time under the Italian coach.
"It's a list created with players who are 100%. Everyone who is playing. We had injuries to players like Militão, Bruno Guimarães, Estêvão and Rodrygo, to whom we wish a speedy recovery. It's a list of those who are physically fit, because we are going to play two very important, high-intensity games in a very short time. I prefer to call up players who are 100%," explained Ancelotti.
