Man with hatchet invades day care center and kills four children in Blumenau (SC)

FIVE OTHER CHILDREN WERE INJURED.

                                                              An attack on a daycare center left four children dead in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, this Wednesday morning (5). The children, between 5 and 7 years old, were playing in the playground when the man with a hatchet invaded the place. Five other children were injured, one of them seriously. After the attack, the 25-year-old man walked out and surrendered to police.

Four victims who had been injured are now at home with their families; attack happened on Wednesday (5); city ​​hall announces implementation of security cameras in all schools and CEIs in the municipality

Four children who survived the  attack on a day care center in Blumenau , in  Santa Catarina , were discharged from the hospital this Thursday morning (6).

All children underwent examinations and medical evaluation, according to Hospital Santo Antônio (HSA). In the exams, the medical team found that one of the patients had a jaw injury, which will be treated on an outpatient basis.

“The HSA appreciates all the support that the community and the press have given the institution at this time. The feeling of all employees is a mission accomplished in the care and reception of children and their families”, said the hospital in a statement.
