Petrobras decided to pay part of the debt of the Rio Grande Shipyard, the Ecovix company with its suppliers at a discount of 30% on the amount due. The goal is to try to avoid delays in delivery of oil platforms hooves.
In the agreement under negotiation, the Ecovix partners in building platforms will receive direct payment from the state. The mechanism was called escrow accounts.
Sought by Folha, Ecovix and Petrobras did not comment.

The Ecovix is the shipbuilding arm Engevix group, which had three people linked to his administration denounced by bribery and money laundering in Operation Lava jet.
The group is prevented from participating in state-of bids since October 2014 and the assets were put into contracts revaluation, which slows down payments.
The debt of the Rio Grande Shipyard with its suppliers was R $ 19.6 million in June, according to Abimaq (Brazilian Association of Machinery Industry).
Petrobras currently has a contract with Ecovix of R $ 227.4 million, according to the portal of transparency of state.

COMPLAINTS
In recent months, the Ecovix said Petrobras was holding into force contract payments.
That would be the reason for the default with suppliers and 3,000 layoffs in the gaucho yard.
The reflection of Ecovix crisis is the possibility of delay in delivery of seven of the eight hooves of so-called "replicating FPSOs" ordered by Petrobras.

Replicants hulls will be used for exploration platforms, which should begin operation in the pre-salt fields from 2017. A hull has been handed over to the state.
The yard also has a contract for the construction of three drillships for Sete Brazil.

There in the industry expect that the Ecovix will be the next to seek bankruptcy protection. Already Engevix negotiate leniency agreement with the CGU (the Comptroller General), by which admit having committed irregularities to get rid of ineligibility for government
Folha learned that Ecovix suppliers were not pleased to receive less as Petrobras has proposed, but must accept the offer for fear of being longer without receiving.
