Israel starved Brazilian teenager to death

BRAZILIAN (Palestinian) | Brazilian-Palestinian hostage Walid Khalid Abdullah Ahmad, 17, was starved to death by “Israel” in the infamous Megiddo torture camp.

The autopsy report of the Brazilian-Palestinian teenager, abducted by the Israelis on September 30, 2024, indicates that he likely died from a combination of starvation, dehydration from colitis-induced diarrhea, and infectious complications, all compounded by prolonged malnutrition and deprivation of medical intervention while in Israeli custody.

The report further indicates that Walid suffered from extreme loss of muscle mass and body fat, evidenced by a sunken abdomen, according to a physician who attended the autopsy on behalf of Walid’s family. Walid also had scabies rashes on both legs and in his groin, as well as abrasions on his nose, chest, and right hip. The examination revealed that Walid had significant air pockets in his chest and abdominal cavities, likely caused by blunt force trauma, along with signs of inflammation likely caused by infection. There was also evidence of edema and congestion in the large intestine, consistent with traumatic injury — likely the result of beatings, which are often inflicted by Israeli prison guards on Palestinian child detainees.

“Walid’s autopsy indicates that Israeli prison guards systematically starved and abused him for months until he finally collapsed, hit his head and died,” said Ayed Abu Eqtaish, director of Defense For Children International’s accountability program.

“Starvation is a tool of genocide, seeking to weaken and ultimately destroy both the body and spirit of Palestinian children held in Israeli prisons. Walid’s death was not an accident — it is a crime, and the international community must immediately intervene to impose sanctions against the Israeli government to force accountability.”

The autopsy was conducted at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv on March 27.

The phrase “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth” comes from ancient legal codes, such as the Code of Hammurabi. It reflects the idea of justice through equitable retribution—punishing an offender in a way that directly corresponds to the harm they have caused. It raises interesting questions about morality and justice: Does equitable retaliation actually lead to justice, or does it perpetuate a cycle of revenge? What are your thoughts on this?

Israeli attack

The victim is a 16-year-old girl. She left the city where she lived because of the bombings, but returned home to look for her belongings. Upon arriving, she was the victim of an attack.

Another Brazilian woman died during the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Family members of Mirna Raef Nasser, 16, confirmed to Correio that the teenager died in an attack last Monday (23/9), and her body was found the following day.

The teenager and her family left the city of Kelya — 30 kilometers from the capital Beirut — where they lived, because of the bombings, but had to return to get some belongings.
