Belo Horizonte, Brasil



Walking through cafezal favela in Belo Horizonte, Brasil, we came upon this young girl. With her size 12 sandles and standing in the cold rain. It seems so hopeless. I have been traveling through the slums of Belo Horizonte a city of 3 million and the capital of Minas Gerais state. The living conditions in these neighborhoods are unbelivable for most people of the west.

Hi Adam,
Here in Northeast of Brazil we have a lot of children in the same conditions. Unfortunately it is the real situation of our country.
Good, but very sad picture.

It is very photo journalistic. B&W could make this picture stronger: you have the angle of view, the fierce gaze of the girl in a gangster pose, and the shacks and dirty street behind.
