Not even in my best dreams would I have imagined that I would be where I am today, after everything I've been through.






I never imagined that in addition to working directly with politics in Washington-DC I would also make political comments about my country in the gringa. I can guarantee you that Patricia, who started her internship in the political field in the second semester of the university, never thought that from Brasília, she would be on a North American broadcaster talking about politics or every day in the North American Congress. Not even in my best dreams did I imagine that I would be so well received in this country.


From the beginning until today it has not been easy. From 4 harassments, death threats, fake news, persecution of haters I faced (and do), but working with politics from an early age I learned very quickly that if I didn't learn to have the emotional intelligence to deal with all this, politics was not for me.



But make no mistake, this process is still not easy today. Today, at 27, I am even more certain that my trajectory here has always had a purpose. I never thought that I would find my peace, the love of my life and the financial situation I always dreamed of in another country, in a country that is not mine by birth but that each day becomes more mine by choice.


Being outside Brazil is difficult, I miss it and I don't deny it, but I understood that Brazil (especially Bolsonaro's Brazil) is not a safe country for anyone, especially for women who are not afraid to express political opinions.



I almost never share my work here with you, or my appearances on American TV, but today I felt like sharing and especially saying to those who have been with me here for so long: Regardless of the absurd situations that malicious people put you, regardless of the lies that they invent about you, regardless of any comment that discourages you, follow your path with professionalism, dedication and respect for others. Everything that starts from you, returns to you, does not fail!





And under no circumstances be afraid to face those who try to bring you down. 👊
