IPCA de março foi a maior taxa para o mês desde a implantação do real O presidente do Banco Central, Roberto Campos Neto, classificou como "bastante alto" o núcleo da inflação. Ele se manifestou “surpreso” com a aceleração de 1,62% apresentada em março para o Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor (IPCA). As declarações foram feitas em evento transmitido pela internet. De acordo com o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), o IPCA de março  foi a maior taxa para um mês de março desde a implantação do Plano Real , em 1994.
