FLAMENGO APRESENTA PATROCÍNIO DE R$ 25 MILHÕES COM CAIXA
Mesmo sem ainda estar aprovado pelo conselho deliberativo do clube, o Flamengo apresentou nesta tarde o patrocínio com a Caixa Econômica Federal. O valor do contrato é R$ 25 milhões por um ano. Participaram do evento o presidente do clube, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, o vice de marketing, Luiz Eduardo Baptista, além do diretor de marketing da Caixa, Clauir Luiz Santos, e do superintendente nacional do banco, Moacyr Espirito Santo.
O valor é R$ 5 milhões a menos do que o Corinthians recebe do mesmo patrocinador. Este é o segundo acordo publicitário selado pela atual diretoria rubro-negra, que já havia acertado no início do ano com a montadora francesa Peugeot um patrocínio de R$ 10 milhões anuais. Os diretores procuram ainda uma terceira companhia para estampar sua marca no uniforme da equipe.
O Flamengo passa atualmente por diversos problemas financeiros. Uma auditoria realizada recentemente nas contas do clube calculou em R$ 750 milhões a dívida do clube, o triplo do estimado inicialmente. O atacante Vágner Love e o técnico Dorival Júnior deixaram a Gávea nos últimos meses a fim de diminuir a folha salarial da equipe.
A Caixa Econômica Federal patrocina o Corinthians desde o final do ano passado. A empresa paga ao clube paulista R$ 30 milhões anuais. No momento, entretanto, o contrato está suspenso pela Justiça, que alega que o pagamento é prejudicial aos interesses da União.
